Christmas

Merry Christmas!
I've finally gotten into the Christmas spirit. We got our tree today and I started decorating (and cleaning!) a bit. I haven't even *started* Christmas shopping yet, so I've got a lot to do. "Yeah!" for fighting the fellow procrastinators at Wal-mart, Toys 'r' Us, and whatever other store(s) I'm unlucky enough to find myself in these next two weeks!
Here are a few pictures to tide you over.
Elijah loves kisses! Especially when Daddy is freshly shaven!

Daniel is in the Christmas mood too! He's been wearing this Santa hat all day and telling me to call him "Santa Claus Daniel!"
Here is the tree. It isn't decorated yet because I forgot to buy the hooks to hang the ornaments when I was at Wal-Mart today. I also forgot that our star broke last year so its time for a new one of those too!
Could it maybe have been that I was a bit distracted? "No! Don't touch that! Sit down in the cart! Put that back! DO NOT hit your brother! No you can't have that. No you can't even see it. You'd better be good or you won't get ANY presents!"
And finally, "YES, I have my hands full." People must think that they are very original when making this comment because I hear it at LEAST five times every time I leave the house with these guys. Do I really look that flustered? Maybe my messy unbrushed hair and lack of make-up tells its own tale!

Mountain trip, birthday party, and Santa...
We tried to go up to Hurricane Ridge yesterday since there was not a cloud in the sky. Unfortunately we made it to the entrance of the park and it was closed. The roads were too icy I imagine. We did get a couple of good pictures, and the drive up was pretty. Next time we'll make it all the way!
Dawn and I took the boys to the Breakfast with Santa at the restaurant I work at. Daniel and Isaiah didn't really want anything to do with the guy in the big read suit, so I had to get a picture of Elijah with Santa at least!

Some pictures...
So I'm taking a short break today from the chaos to post a few pictures.
Today we have to
1)Clean the house for Isaiah's birthday party tomorrow
2) Shampoo all the carpets
3)Make Isaiah's birthday brownies
4) Decorate
5) Look for and buy a bed for the boys and my cousin and her husband who are coming to visit on THURSDAY!!
6) Get our 2nd car fixed
7) Wash all the laundry and take them to the laundromat to dry because our STUPID dryer broke
8) Go grocery shopping.
I sent Jeremiah and Daniel off this morning with a list about a mile long for Wal-mart. They left before noon and its after two and they still aren't back yet. Last time I talked to them they were on their way to the mattess store to check out beds. I *KNOW* Jeremiah is going to end up buying something WAY too expensive for our budget right now. My baby has champagne taste on a beer budget, or so they say! Good when buying things like electronics for us or presents for me (haha), not so good when you are trying to stretch a budget to cover things it normally wouldn't.
Anyway, here's the daily dose of kid's pictures for you!

The love of a cat...

I recognized someone...
from BLOGLAND last night!
It was my first night at my brand new job and I was finding out very quickly that waitressing after 5 months off is *not* so much like riding a bike. I was running around like a mad woman and I think I had 3 tables in the whole place. New job, new place, new menu, new procedures, phew. It was a long night. My back was hurting by the end of it, which just tells me that I've been sitting on my BIG lazy butt way too much at home.
Anyway, back to the amazing story.
I go up to my latest two top hoping they don't ask me a bunch of questions about a menu that I'm not very familiar with. I look at the people and suddenly it dawns on me...its SACHI! I have no idea how that is properly pronounced, but I asked if her name was, indeed, Sachi, and it was! I think I was about 10 different shades of red and both of us were laughing hysterically when I finally spit out how I "knew" her. My other tables must have been wondering what was going on.
I've been keeping up with her blog for quite a while now. Its mostly focused on knitting and yard, and all things related. I don't do any of those things, but I love seeing her latest creations and all of the pictures of her animals! I think she has about 25 cats by the pictures that she posts. ;) Definitely check it out if you get the chance.
Sachi, or Audrey is it? It was so nice to meet you!

In addition to our dropshots page...
I'll now be posting updates here and there on this blog! A picture may be worth a thousand words, but the actual stories behind some of them might entertain you as well.
Check back whenever you'd like and hear about Daniel and Isaiah's latest tales and what new and exciting things that Elijah is doing.
Pictures will be posted here, but the majority of our pictures will remain on our dropshots page, which is located HERE.
The password to our pictures page is our last name, in lower case letters. If you don't know our last name you'll have to be satisfied with the pictures I post here!

About me!
So here's where I'm supposed to tell you a little about me...
My name is Nicole. I'm 26 years old and I like in the Pacific Northwest. I moved here from Minnesota where I was raised in September of 2006. Besides being away from my whole family and all of my friends, I really like it out here! I much prefer getting rained on for 7 months than shoveling snow, scraping windshields, and generally freezing my butt off. The scenery is the best I've ever seen, and once I finally get myself on a mountain to ski that'll definitely be a big one in the "Pro" column as well!
I have a great husband, Jeremiah, and three awesome boys.
Daniel is 3, and is really growing up to be a nice little guy. He loves all things superhero, Transformers, and all the typical 'boy' things.
Isaiah is almost 2 at the time of this posting and he is definitely living up to the old 'terrible two' label. He's wild, and he's into everything at all times! He's also the sweetest, most loving little guy you'll probably meet. When he isn't getting into things and making a mess, he's loving on me, his Daddy, or his brothers.
Elijah is the newest addition to our family. Born in September of this year he's been a very easy baby so far! Just wait until he's mobile though!
This blog will probably focus on the kids. I'm a stay at home mom, so that's what my day is filled with!
So come on in, stay a while, and find out what its REALLY like to be the mom of three boys, three and under.
